L’oeuvre et sa suite ont fait l’objet de trois adaptations au cinéma, et d’une à la télé. Je les ai vues. Et c’est la plus récente que je préfère. C’est la plus féministe. Les actrices sont sublimes, l’esprit est fidèle au roman : léger mais avec un message très sérieux. Je partage l’avis de Janet Maslim dans le New-York times « Stirring up a flurry of familial warmth, Ms. Armstrong instantly demonstrates that she has caught the essence of this book’s sweetness and cast her film uncannily well, finding sparkling young actresses who are exactly right for their famous roles.
